Make Rugs Mastery Bonuses and Remaining Rugs Calculator

Last updated:

Mastery rewards repeated completions of a rug design with a higher selling price. Choose the design you want to improve, track its next-tier progress, and calculate how many more rugs to finish.

Quick answer

Complete the same design repeatedly to increase its mastery. Bronze gives a +5% selling-price bonus, Silver +10%, and Gold +15%. To find the rugs remaining, subtract your current completed count from the displayed target for that design and tier: 1/5 means four more rugs.

Calculate additional rug completions for a design's displayed next-tier mastery counter.

Rugs remaining = max(0, displayed target − current completed count).

  • Both counts refer to the same design and the same mastery target.
  • Each completed rug of that design advances its completion count by one.
  • Use the labeled next-tier counter; a separate stamps total may refer to a different target.

Build Mastery by Completing the Same Design

Unlock your target design and gather its required yarn before starting.

  1. Open Choose a Design at the Tufting Frame and select the design you want to improve.
  2. Read its mastery tier, progress counter, and remaining-rug message.
  3. Complete a rug of that design. Each finished rug adds one to its completion count.
  4. Repeat that design, then return to its mastery display to check your next target.

Keep working on the design whose selling-price bonus you want to raise. Completing an Inset Heart advances Inset Heart mastery; it does not advance Simple Mat mastery. For the tufting, shaving, and finishing steps, follow the rug-making guide.

Design levels have a separate unlock requirement: finish every design in the current level to open the next level. If your goal is access to more patterns, work through those designs instead of repeating just one. See designs and unlock requirements for details.

Mastery Selling-Price Bonuses

Mastery tier Selling-price bonus for that design
Bronze +5%
Silver +10%
Gold +15%

The mastery menu also includes a higher +25% tier.

For Simple Mat and Inset Heart, the Bronze target is five completed rugs of that design. Their first completion gives 1/5 progress toward Bronze. Use the selected design’s displayed target when working on another pattern.

Mastery is useful when you plan to keep making a particular design for sale: repeated completions work toward a higher selling-price bonus for it. For other ways to raise a finished rug’s value, see the money and rug value guide.

Calculate Rugs Remaining for Your Displayed Target

Use the calculator to turn your next-tier progress into a count of additional rugs to complete.

  1. Enter the first number from the progress counter as Current completed count.
  2. Enter the second number as Displayed target.
  3. Read Rugs remaining to see how many additional completions you need.

For 1/5 toward Bronze, enter 1 and 5. The result is 4 more rugs. If the entered count meets or exceeds the target, the result is zero.

When the game gives a remaining-rug message directly, use that number. For example, if your Silver Simple Mat menu says 23 more rugs to Gold (+15%), your next target is 23 additional Simple Mats.

Use the Next-Tier Counter When Reading Stamps

Take both calculator inputs from the same design and the same mastery target. Use the counter associated with the named next tier or the message stating how many more rugs it needs.

Simple Mat can display 1/60 stamps alongside 1/5 toward Bronze. For that Bronze target, use 1 and 5, not 1 and 60. The separate stamps denominator does not identify the next medal’s requirement.

After earning a tier, read the updated target before calculating again. Do not carry an earlier tier’s target into the new calculation or combine counts from different designs.
